Who we are
The Oakville Celtic Fiddle Orchestra provides amateur fiddlers, violinists, guitarists, flautists and bodhrán players a fun and encouraging atmosphere to learn and perform the Celtic music of Scotland, Ireland and Cape Breton. It was formed in 2006 as a subsidiary of the Academy of Music in Oakville, Ontario, and has been led by renowned fiddler Dan MacDonald since 2021.
The OFCO is open to all musicians and music students ages 12 and up. The orchestra rehearses weekly on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm at St. Cuthbert’s Anglican Church in Oakville.
